WESTERN FRONT, never far back, assumed command entering the stretch and increased the advantage to withstand FEDERAL AGENT. The latter gradually improved his position to the stretch and finished determinedly, but could not reach the winner, although easily best of the others. PERCIEVE went to the front at once, made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered when challenged by the winner. SKY TRAIN Tacked early speedy but finished well. REDGIE began sluggishly and raced wide during the last three-eighths. MARKSMAN could not keep up. VICTOR NANCE gave way after displaying early speed. ERINSVILLE was never dangerous. BLUE TAIL FLY, a sharp factor from the beginning, drifted out after taking command in the stretch, but lasted to withstand MAD HARE. The latter raced evenly to the stretch and, closing stoutly under urging, was getting to the winner at the finish. SQUINT saved ground throughout, but could not threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. BEES DREAM, much used racing ROSY GOING into defeat, had nothing left for the drive. MISS BOB began sluggishly and raced wide. LADY ALSAB was never prominent. HARTS COMET was outrun. ROSY GOING quit after engaging BEES DREAM to the stretch. WILMAR, forwardly placed from the start, responded readily when set down in the stretch and, after disposing of TINTINA, held the latter safe. TINTINA went to the front at once, made the pace until inside the stretch, but could not hold the winner. SPRING FOLLY held on well in a sharp effort and had no mishap. COMELY BELLE lacked early speed. BAGUIO raced wide throughout and lost all chance. PINK CHANCE began slowly. ONE BLUE, a keen factor during the early running, quit after suffering mild interference at the upper turn. LUCKY HIT could not keep up. Overweight— Comely Belle, 3 pounds; Baguio, 1. DUCK BERRY, never far back but on the outside, was forced wide by JOSHUA entering the stretch, responded to brisk urging when straightened for the drive and drew clear after taking command. JOSHUA went to the front early, drifted out on the stretch turn and held on well to the final furlong, then weakened. PUSSY WILLOW, on the inside throughout, could not better her position when set down in the drive. WISKTIGER raced evenly and had no excuse. FOURTH DEGREE had a rough trip. KINDLY MISS, knocked back after going a furlong, failed to recover. WOOLLARDS PET was done early. LONGTIDE was never a serious factor. FIFTH RACE 5-8 MILE. Miss Dolphin, June 9, 1936— :58/5— 2— 115. CROSS WISE raced evenly without mishap. STEADY BEAU raced wide. BLACK DISC never was a serious contender. COMPARE drifted out approaching the stretch. RAY COUNT MISS showed nothing.
