Buys San Mar, Polite Time RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 24. — R. A. Brown this morning purchased the five-year-old mare San Mar and the three-year-old filly Polite Time from George Horwitz on private terms. Brown will ship the additions to his stable, which now numbers nine head, to River Downs at the conclusion of the current Thistle Down session next Monday. The Brown string is headed by Pigeons Pal and Tennessee Kid. The latter, recovering from a slight hoof ailment, is expected to be a strong threat in the, handicaps at the Cincinnati oval.
