Skirvin to Open Public Stable BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 28. Jack Skirvin, who in recent years developed some good campaigners for the late A. C. Ernst of Cleveland, among them the Suburban winner Aletern and the worlds record holder as a two-year-old Algasir, announced today that he would open a public stable for metropolitan racing. Skirvin recently returned from Lexington and Louisville where he inspected several horses that he may take over later. However, for the present he will take over suitable material for immediate racing.
