NO BULL, slow to settle into stride, was steadied along to the stretch turn, where he was brought to the outside when roused and, while closing fast, wore down AZURE in the final strides. AZURE had. good speed from the start, saved ground throughout and, while under a strong ride through the stretch, was unable to resist the winner. FEBRIDGE broke slowly as usual and, while circling his field on entering the stretch .finished fatest of all. NAVY AWARD had no mishap in an even effort. ETERNALLEA passed tiring horses in the final quarter. CHESTY raced with the top flight from the start, but was shuffled back rounding the turn and failed to rally when clear. NEW CHAL-. LENGE tired from his early efforts. RINGOES raced wide and weakened early. EMERALD BELLE broke alertly, raced true, wore down CHANCELING while under mild urging in the last quarter and held her advantage under a brisk hand ride. The latter had good speed from the beginning, raced on the outside throughout and, while unable to handle the winner, was best of the others. EVANS MOUNTAIN showed good speed for three-eighths and tired. IGHTAM had no mishap in an even performance. PLAY REQUEST was outrun. SCUTTLEMAN, hard held during the early stages, made a bad jump at the fifth hedge, quickly recovered and, while improving his position steadily, jumped cleanly and wore down BLACK FOX RUN after the twelfth jump to draw out under a hand ride. BLACK FOX RUN was never a great distance back, jumped well to take the lead inside the eleventh jump, but had nothing left when challenged by the top one. LUAN CASCA made up some ground after being badly outrun early. CLOONSHEE made the pace in hand, jumped well to the eleventh hedge, where the rider lost his irons and the horse bolted off the course, then was brought back and finished within the time limit and awarded fourth money. TWO LEA, blocked on the inside early, was steadied until clear rounding the stretch turn, wore down TASSEL while under light urging in the early 1 stretch and held her advantage with ease. LADY DORIMAR pressed the pace in hand from the outside, rallied under pressure in the last quarter to make a bold bid nearing the final marker, but could not handle the top one. BLACK CHIFFON broke slowly, improved her position steadily while racing on the outside rounding the turn, commenced lugging in when put to pressure and could not menace the top pair. WISTFUL broke slowly and was hard held while being outrun in the first half, began to advance on the outside leaving .the backstretch, was soundly shaken up nearing the last quarter and, while losing additional ground entering the stretch, wore down ADILE, holding her advantage while being ridden out. The latter improved her position steadily from the outside in the run down the backstretch, displaced NELL K. rounding the stretch turn and, while unable to resist the winner, held on stubbornly to be best of the others. JAZZ BABY, taken under snug restraint at the start, was steadied to the final half, where she was put to strong handling and, while improving her racing position and saving ground, could not gain on the top pair. THE FAT LADY was well placed from the beginning, raced a trifle wide early and lacked a closing rally. NELL K. tired from her early efforts. GAFFERY was never a contender. PELLA gave way suddenly after showing good speed in the first mile. PENNYMAKER and CLINGING VINE were eased when hopelessly beaten after going a mile. Scratched 75098 Admired, 121. DRY FLY was steadied along early, moved up boldly on the outside rounding the stretch turn and, when set down for the drive, was brought to the inside, but was not good enough. ROAMING FEET was badly outrun to the last quarter, then rallied from between horses and finished full of run. BLUE HILLS made up ground late, but failed to threaten the top ones. SPINDLE made a mild rally in the early stretch, then tired. SHACKLETON INJURED HIMSELF AT THE GATE PRIOR TO THE START AND WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED BY THE STEWARDS.
