CRALINE showed in front at the break, drew clear before a quarter, was hard put for the drive and held STRAETH safe. The latter was steadied early, moved up on the outside for the drive and closed strongly. KARAKORUM made a game bid midway of the stretch, but faltered near the end. BIG PING forced the pace on the rail, finished willingly, but was not good enough. LITTLE AUD worked his way up between horses to be best of the others. THANK YOU SIR was taken up when blocked midway of the turn, went up on the inside to be prominent and faltered. APPEASER went wide coming out of the turn. LOVING TIES was knocked back just after the start. TEAMMATE had speed for a half and quit. HALCYON DUKE was outrun. DAWN OPEACE raced wide, as did HITHERTO. MISS STONE was on even terms for the lead on the outside, took command and swerved in sharply after drawing clear, then lasted over PODNER. The latter saved ground early, went between horses to be closest to the pace and was gradually getting to the winner. MARTIN WHELAN, never far back, saved ground while improving position and closed best of the others. FOXEY ROSE was well placed between horses and tired in the final furlong. The latter was forwardly placed from the beginning but forced to lose some ground and just missed. PLAY AGAIN made the pace on the rail after a quarter and faltered near the end. WALKIE TALKIE worked his way up between horses, went to the outside for the drive and closed well. SIR BIM flashed speed and weakened in the drive. DANADA RED was blocked while attempting to go between horses into the turn, was taken to the extreme outside for the drive and lacked a rally. JIMPIN bore out and raced wide. The latter forced the pace on the outside, took command and drew clear between calls in the stretch, but was no match for the winner. ENFORCER was a forward factor from the break, but was forced to lose some ground, then closed resolutely when straightened for the drive. WITH PLEASURE moved up between horses going into the turn, lacked room and, eased back midway of the turn, failed to rally when clear. TIDY SUM made the pace for a half mile and gave way. PROUD RULER had brief speed and tired. ANNS LEE had no excuse. CAILLOU ROUGE was outrun. ONE ALONE moved up on the inside to be a sharper contender coming out of the turn and tired. The latter went through on the rail to obtain command, then could not resist the winner in a good effort. CHIC CHIC went up on the rail for the drive and finished resolutely. SUN TANNERY lost ground.
