SGT. BROWN Turned in a good effort in lone try here. May have needed race. POIGNANCY This sprinter is a capable sort competing with ,000 claiming company and should not be long in gaining brackets. KALTMERA A two-year-old filly who turned in an impressive effort here recently. Was a distant second, but was bothered early. HUT BROOK MISS Another juvenile lassie who should not be long in graduating, judging from her recent outing here. WHTTEFORD TET Appeared short of a top effort in recent try. Has speed and could continue until the end in next. DOUBLE MOOSE Disregard latest. Broke tardily and then was impeded. GRAN CITELLA After stumbling badly at start this one was much used reaching a. contending position and faltered. Can do better. R. L. LIGHT Has enjoyed a successful season so far and should continue to score when competing at middle distances with ,000eclaimers. GOLD EAGLE This oner has plenty of early foot but failed to display it after breaking tardily in latest. Should tally with better luck. BABY BLUE A cheap sort but she could register a surprise victory soon. Was third last time in a creditable performance. TEAMMATE Displayed high speed in debut here but gave way as if in need of the outing. Should improve. DETROIT JIMMIE Throw out last race on fast track for he is capable of beating same field on soft footing. VIXEN ROSE Maiden three-year-old is in good condition and due for early visit to winners circle. SUES SPECIAL Zakoor gelding displayed good speed in recent start under novice rider and ready to beat same class field. PROM TROTTER Shaffer sophomore miss worked mile in 1:44 handily and due for early graduation victory. BOUNGOVER Highly regarded two-year-old colt Is training satisfactorily and he is eligible to any kind of a race. STAR REWARD Dixiana stakes performer is at peak form and he can handle sprint or longer distances over muddy or dry strip. BROWN BROCADE Trifle short in only start and will be. hard to down, when she is matched with two-year-old maiden fillies. SWIFT TOWN Splendid effort in recent sprint indicates that he should be close up when started against ,500 platers. LOVELY NYMPH Hard-hitting filly was narrowly beaten at six furlongs and she should soon score at the local oval. CHORALIER Maiden juvenile miss displayed good speed in only start of her career and is ready for graduation. BLUE GRIP Rufi sophomore gave good performance in the Grand River Purse and will improve off that outing. SANTA CLAUS Capable sort when sent against ,000 type middle distance racers and works are sharp. PELLICLE Headley grass track performer gave top effort in the Michigan Mile and is ready to win on the turf course. BEE ROSE Knocking at the victory door and connections will find a suitable spot for the filly. CANARY BIRD Goodwin sophomore raced smartly in only local starts and ready to break maiden. PLUMPER Hard-hitting sprinter has beaten high class company and due for early Detroit victory. BELMONT PARK DARK FAVORITE This maiden filly appears certain to graduate next time out. Was short in last try and should benefit greatly from the effort. BROKEN ARCHES Pitched a little too high in last outing but still was able to give Androcles a good run for it. Tab when he gets back in with his own kind, ,500 claimers. GAVIN This one should win right back with a little better than she defeated last time. GAY LOVE Was right with the leaders at the eighth pole the other day when she got a good bumping and was knocked right out of the race. Tab right back with ,000 claimers going six furlongs. ORPHAN FIBBER Wait for this old fellow to get back with ,000 claimers going a distance of ground. MOND ANA This two-year-old filly gave a very impressive performance last week when she rgiKaway from a field of maidens. Can probably do even better. THWARTED This old campaigner is going better than ever now and can handle a classy field of allowance horses. DISCONSOLATE A good colt who suffered a lot of interference in last try. Should do against allowance performers going three-quarters. FRANKLY Another who suffered interference in last start. Can run with grade B handicap horses and seems to be back in his old form. RIPPLING HIT A maiden two-year-old who was being carried in all the way in her last start. FLATBUSH May have to be dropped down a notch. Has been running over his head and appears to be fit. THE CREEK This youngster has had enough education and now appears ready for a winning performance. IRISH WITCH Last try was a creditable effort and should improve off the race. Watch when she catches a field of three-year-old maidens at a flat mile. DELAWARE PARK TASK Has been freshened and local trials suggest an early victory. MISS COVERY Not too much class with this mare but a victory over cheap ones seems certain. SERVICE PILOT Has gone back a bit this season but a soft spot for non-winners this year could mean brackets. ANNA HANNIGAN Showed improvement in each of her Maryland races and may be better than generally regarded. CONTEST Local training has been as impressive as Maryland races and a victory in the Brandywine is not too much . to expect. WINTER WHEAT A hard-hitting mare who has always been partial to this course. IT GIRL Shifty juvenile was a stakes winner over Maryland-breds and may be sharp enough to win an open event. MISTAMBO Trained well in New Jersey and should graduate early in the meeting. NOBLE IMPULSE If able to get in a conditioning race prior to the Kent, this one should win. COCHISE New York races, have been on the satisfactory side and should hold him in good stead at this meeting. WARMONGER The Jeffords stable always does well here and this three-year-old should earn an early victory. ALEXIS Christiana establishment has been going in bad luck and this one may break the jinx. IDA C Trainer Kerns will select a maiden race for juvenile fillies for this one. suffouTdowns GAY COURIER Finished well enough in last to suggest a set of brackets should be in order. SEPTEMBER This Calumet cast-off served notice that he is capable of a winning effort before the close of the current meet. VALSIDA A New England-bred Juvenile who displays improvement with each start and should not tarry in the non-winners ranks. VITAL SUN A maiden sophomore who showed enough in last to indicate graduation is at hand. FRIENDLY FRANK Has been pitted against the top sophomores on grounds. Watch for slight descent in class. FEARLESS Has been sharpened in recent sprints for a top effort over longer route. Appears best suited at middle distances. DADDY JOE The manner in which this fellow has scored two straight is enough to indicate his victory skein will continue. SUPER GIRL Has been doing all asked of her in morning trials and needs only astute placing to register a victory very shortly. PEERLESS Rates another chance after losing all chance when impeded near finish. Is capable of winning over ,500 claiming sprinters. HONOUR STUDENT Appeared short in only local outing when finishing second after setting majority of the pace. Will benefit off that effort. BLUE RHONDA A timid ride may have cost this miss a victory in recent sprint. Should be able to handle the same opposition with an improved ride. BETTER BET JR. Winner of five straight at local track and in present form should keep his record intact. "Off " track moves him up many lengths. OMAHA HEESADATE Just missed in last start after leading throughout most of the journey and, should benefit from that : effort. NAMUR A drop in classification is all that is needed to assure victory for this veteran performer. CAPT. PATTT Hard-hitting sprinter improves with additional racing and should score at next asking. RODEO ROSE Raced well during Oak-lawn Park meeting and, should not be long in graduating from the maiden ranks. LENFANT Speedy sort was narrowly beaten in only appearance here. Is at best over a sloppy strip. TING T. This youngster gave a creditable account of himself in debut while racing on the extreme outside. Improvement can be expected. FINE FETTLE Well-bred handicap charge was in close quarters during early running of Inaugural Handicap and will do better with better racing luck. COMCATCHME Has been working cleverly and connection should find a suitable spot for this speedster within next several days. LIFE RAFT Cheap plater closed with a rush on opening-day program and just missed. Appears highly capable of turning back similar foes. ELECTION BOY Disappointed at short odds last time, but should make amends for that one if matched against same group. ACE AWAY Appeared a trifle short in first race here and that one should prove a tightner for future engagements. BRILLGAL Comes from well trained stable and should not be long in visiting the winners circle. LIEUT. BEN K. Has displayed decided fondness for local strip and recent works indicate a return to winning form. ROSETIP Two-year-old filly possesses a world of speed and she should not be long in earning first set of brackets. FRENCH NAVY Closed resolutely in sprint test on Thursdays card and appears ready for a creditable route effort.
