Odom Resigns Stewards Post To Train Maine Chance Stable PAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 28. . George M. Odom, veteran turfman and official, today resigned his post as steward with the Michigan Racing Association to accept a position as head trainer with Mrs. Elizabeth Grahams Maine Chance Farm stable. Odom completed his tour of duty here today and he will leave Detroit on Tuesday for New York to confer with the noted sportslady, who maintains an extensive band of thoroughbreds and who also is interested in the breeding industry. Officials of the local association accepted Odoms resignation with regret for he proved a popular and efficient member of the administrative staff while at the Motor City course. Odom also expressed regret in severing his connection with the MRA, as he was quite happy during his stay at the I Fair Grounds.
