New York Notes BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 28. Trainer J. P. Conway of the B. P. Whit-aker Stables, is in receipt of information from Kentucky that the good handicap mare Carolyn A., was bred to Polynesian. Double Brandy, the brown son of Ques-tionaire Tien Lan owned by C. E. Tuttle, may be shipped here from New England for his Belmont engagement. Sweet and Low, a two-year-old in the A. G. Vanderbilt stable was altered this morning. Jockey Willie Passmore has returned here from Garden State Park and reported to trainer Willie Post. Passmore will ride the horses owned by Mrs. F. Ambrose Clark under ah oral agreement. He served his connections with the A. G. Vanderbilt stable on amicable terms. Nicholas Pettite, who dropped ,500 into the claiming box for Lady Fakir, a starter in the last race on Tuesday, was chagrined later to discover that she had been placed on starter Cassidys barred list. She was on her bad behavior at the post. Lord "Tony" Mildmay, one of Englands outstanding steeplechase enthusiasts, plans a trip to these shores this summer for a visit to American farms and racing scenes. He, for the present, has under consideration a plan to ship several horses here next summer for steeplechasing. Shelby Clarfc checked out for Suffolk Downs where on Saturday he will ride several starters for A. G. Vanderbilt.
