GOTANOTION, outrun early, moved up strongly nearing the stretch and, after racing WOOLLARDS PET into submission, won going away. WOOLLARDS P PET assumed command at the start, made the pace until inside the stretch, but was unable to hold the winner. OLD BET began sluggishly. WISE SUN raced well to the stretch, then weakened. THE PROBLEM, rj on the outside throughout, could not keep up. HIMMELEE was outrun. TRANCE SLEEPER never was a serious Z factor. MIDWAY SUN went to the front early, made the pace under steady rating and retained his advantage without need of urging. ALTUCE saved ground while improving his position to the stretch, finished well, but could not reach the winner. FEDERAL- AGENT held on resolutely in a good effort. EXPECTATION could not keep up. HIS GRACE began poorly. SKY TRAIN disliked the turf course and was far back throughout. ANTARES, LAME DURING THE POST PARADE, WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED AND ALL WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. EIREANN was unable to reach the leaders when hard ridden in the drive. MARKSMAN made the pace to the stretch, then weakened. BOIS JOLI began slowly. BAREFOOT LAD was never a serious contender.
