CUP KING pressed the pace of the winner from the start and, while responding to pressure, drew well clear of the others. BRIGHT COMET showed an even effort. COUNTY DELIGHT was unable to improve his position. DJINN was away tardily and refused to extend himself. GUIDED MISSILE was slow to settle into stride. COURTNEY may improve. FLYING RULES broke alertly and dropDed back immediately. EMORY A. WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED BY THE STEWARDS WHEN SORE UPON ARRIVING AT THE GATE AND ALL WAGERS WERE REFUNDED. The latter was rated while holding a narrow advantage and disposed of ADAMANT, but was luwble to resist the winner. SKY MIRACLE was caught ta close quarters leaving the backstretch and closed waggly. Won driving; third the same. THREE DOTS raced on the inside and with the pace from the start, then responded to strong urging to finish in a dead-heat with EQUIBIT. The latter was always with the leader while on the outside and finished on even terms with THREE DOTS while being strongly ridden. TACARO BRIAR improved his position, but could not menace the top pair. FRITZ MAISEL failed to make up ground. ANDY HANDY was outrun. ERIGERON raced between THREE DOTS and EQUIBIT while with the pace to the stretch, then faltered badly. IRRAWADDY apparently needed the race. LANLAST tired. SIXTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. BUCEPHALUS, under restraint while a factor from the start, assumed command in the early stretch, but was no match. FALSE RUMOR saved ground while turning back repeated early challenges, then tired in the final drive. AMANECER moved well to the quarter pole and weakened. OPERATOR failed to rally. KELS LOVE, hard held while setting the pace, held on gamely, but could not resist the winner. DISCOVERT failed to make up ground. PETEE DEE weakened after pressing the pace. TATTLER, allowed to lag early, moved boldly along the inside on the final turn, then failed to respond in the final drive. LIBERTY ROAD raced forwardly early, but quit badly in a dull effort. APPLE RIVER closed wih good energy. JUST LOVELY raced forwardly and tired. GRABRO lacked room along the inside through the stretch. JACOLEE failed to respond. HEAD STREAM faltered through the stretch. COURT RULER quit early. A. LADY and ABBOTSTOWN raced verly wide at the first turn.
