RANAHEAD was on even terms Tor the lead on the rail early, moved up on the outside for the drive, disposed of RAIDING STAR and drew away. The latter drew clear between calls on the turn and came to the rail, but was not good enough. TREE TOWN saved ground while a sharp contender, then tired in the drive. ATLANTIC CITY had no excuse. FANNIE MAC tired. GRAND RIVER was outrun. DAY was on the extreme outside Vvhile with the pace on the backstretch, came in sharply going into the turn, drew clear and won with something left. QUATRE BLANC, well placed from the start, went up on the inside, did not menace the winner, but proved best of the others. GOLD PROXY was with the first flight between horses early, then tired in the drive. BORDER MAN had no excuse. WILLIS E. lost considerable ground on the turn. MARKIGHT was outrun. TOMMY GENTRY was taken up sharply when crowding occured going into the first turn. JUSTASNACK stumbled at the break, then nearly went down when striking the heels of TOMMY GENTRY on the turn. KALIMERA, slow to gain stride, went up on the outside to be best of the others. VISIONAL stumbled at the start, was blocked in the stretch, forged between horses and tired near the end. GRAIN MARKET saved ground and was unhurried while being straightened for the drive, moved up between horses and wore down IMPACT. The latter was well placed from the beginning, took command when called upon and just missed. THANK YOU SIR lost some ground while prominent, threatened in the stretch and faltered. FOX into defeat, drew out slightly under pressure and just lasted over ALL FOR FREE. The latter was fortunate to find racing room while going up between horses in the backstretch and was getting to the winner at the end. OUR SLOGAN, never far back, lost ground on the turn while improving position and finished well. BASLA, unhurried in the opening stages, went up between horses and closed willingly. MISSAB tired. CHIC CHIC, a sharp factor from the break, took command when ready and steadily drew away under mild punishment to the end. OUR BEST was sent into the lead when straightened on the backstretch, lasted to best the others, but was no match for the winner. BIG HOPE, slow to begin as usual, went up between tired horses. BENEELOBE had no excuse. EVER ON guit. VALDINA TYRANT threatened mildly on the far turn and gave way. DOTS RISK was never prominent. VALLEYS PAL guit badly in the drive.
