STICKTOME, in hand to the stretch, responded readily when set down in the drive and, after racing CHARLES CITY into defeat, won going away. CHARLES CITY, never far back, reached the lead when settled for the drive, but was unable to hold the winner. SIR MONTE faltered after racing prominently to the stretch. TIGER AGE began sluggishly and never seriously threatened the leaders. BALLYRAG tired after racing well to the stretch. TRIBAL II. had brief speed. BENADDI failed to rally when set down through the stretch. COIFFEUR, bothered at the first turn by CHARLES CITY, failed to recover. GIT began slowly. HIGH EGO, a keen factor from the start, responded readily when set down through the stretch and, after disposing of TRUMP HEAVY, held BLANK DISMAY safe. The latter, away alertly but weakly handled after the start, lost ground to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and finished fast on her own courage. CHARIVARI raced evenly to the stretch, drifted out during the drive and could not overtake the leaders. MARKET OUT, away sluggishly, closed fast. TRUMP HEAVY, never far back, reached the lead when settled in the stretch, then faltered during the final furlong. RICHWOOD BOY was outrun. JIMMIE went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. LUCKY M. was dene early. POLAR BATTLE was far back throughout. SILVER FLIGHT, outrun early, steadily improved her position after the opening quarter, was sent between horses during the drive and was up in the last strides. CAPRIOLE, well placed to the stretch, closed fast and just missed. MAVIEW, on the outside to the stretch, finished fast in a sharp effort. DOGS UP, a keen factor from the start, reached the lead in the stretch, then faltered during the late stages. ENSA assumed command at once, .made the pace until inside the stretch and was tiring badly when impeded by DOGS UP. DIVIE lacked early speed. OUR MISS was outrun. RAVEN REWARD could not keep up. BEACH MOSS raced evenly to the stretch, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but could not hold the winner. PAPPYS PRIDE, bothered at the first turn by MISS OBEHAN, raced nearest the latter until inside the stretch, assumed command, but faltered nearing the finish. MISS OBEHAN went to the front early, made the pace until nearing the final pole, then weakened. MY EMPIRE was outrun. The latter, forwardly placed from the beginning, closed determinedly under punishment, but could not overtake the winner. CATNIP HILL was unable to better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. PUSSY WILLOW raced evenly and had no mishap. SPRING FOLLY had early speed and pulled up bleeding from the mouth. SUN UMBER in hand while racing well placed to the stretch, assumed command when settled for the drive and then held on gamely to withstand OXFORD DON. The latter went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, came again after losing the lead, but could not overtake the winner.
