Four Winners for J. West, Three for VanBerg Stable FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., June 2. — Apprentice Jerry West of Louisville, Ky„ successfully piloted four of his mounts here today. West, 19 years old, led the riders at the recent Churchill Downs meeting and began his day with a clever victory astride Magnus in the fourth, won the featured Taffeta Purse with Monterey, scored a double in the VanBerg silks on Delhannah in the seventh and completed his saddle duties with a well-earned victory on Sun TJmber, who carried the VanBerg silks for a triple in the nightcap.
