Thirteen Swift Juveniles Clash at Delaware Today Entry of Our Tops and Endurable May Command Most Support DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 2. — Thirteen capable two-year-olds, including five youngsters who are eligible for both the Christiana and Dover Stakes, are scheduled to match strides tomorrow at the five-furlong distance in the ,500 Del Mar Purse. The stake aspirants in tomorrows field include Circle M Farms tandem of Our Tops and Endurable, Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords Post Card, William G. Helis Yogi and E. B. Lees Gillie Young. Others in the Del Mar are: R. Claytons Red Swing, Mrs. G. D. Wideners Stefanella, G. M. Cohcaja Nick Bloom, Bobanet Stables Attention Mark, High Ground Stables Slice, H. S. Dillinghams Gala Sweep and the. Brook- meade Stable entry of Sun Glow and Set Free. Trainer Tommy Carroll will have strong ! representation in Our Tops and Endurable, either of whom could earn the major share of the spoils. Our Tops, a Bimelech colt, scored one victory in three starts during the Hialeah meeting this past winter, then was given a respite. He has raced but once recently, showing speed and finishing but two lengths behind Ferd while fifth in the Juvenile Stakes at Belmont Park. With that race under his girth, Our Tops shapes up as the one to beat. Endurable has won , one of four starts and in his local outing turned in a clever effort while second to Watch Union. Of the other eligibles for the Christiana and Dover, Post Card seems the most pro-f icient. The Firethorn colt has raced but four times and scored a single victory, that win coming in his most recent essay at Garden State. On that occasion he beat maidens while running five furlongs in 1:01%. Yogi was a winner in California during the winter and finished four and a half lengths behind Uptown in his last start. Gillie Young, too, has won a single * race. Red Swing, Attention Mark and Stefanella each won their most recent appearances, the former impressing greatly in what was the first start of his career. A gelded son of Swing and Sway, Red Swing was started in a 0,000 to ,000 claiming, affair and merely toyed with his oppgyfl tion while winning by six lengths in 1:00%W Stefanella was timed in 1:01 while beating ■ maidens in her last, while Attention Mark 1 was clocked in 1:01% while downing a field ■ of New Jersey-bred non-winners.
