TRA and HBPA Discuss Various Problems Confronting Racing BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. June 2. — A meeting between representatives of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations and the Horsemens Benevolent Protective Association was held this morning. Matters pertaining to racing in all phases from employment of help to the campaigning of aged and apparently useless horses was discussed. The meeting was a harmonious one in all respects and the consensus is that a closer relationship between the two. bodies was decided. While no definite agreements were reached, horsemen are certain that in the future, problems relating to racing in all respects can be discussed and decided at a meeting of the two bodies. Sitting in at the meeting were James Butler, Alfred G. Vanderbilt, James Dooley, John Morris, Eugene Mori, Dan Chappell, John Manfuso and Spencer Drayton.
