MISS SUN BEAU assumed command soon after the start, was placed under steadying restraint, saved ground throughout and held the lead under light urging. RIVER BOYNE moved in closest attendance of the pace after a half, rallied mildly, but was not good enough. GERONIMO worked his way up into contention after six furlongs, but lacked a rally. BEAUTIFUL TIME tired in the final furlong. ANAKO lacked early speed. KANKEEKEE had no mishap. The others were outrun. Scratched— 76059 Brown Appell, 106; 75970 Goody Gumdrop, 104. VILLAGE BEAU was taken back off the pace and steadied within striking distance of the leaders for six furlongs, moved readily when set down, assumed command when ready and drew out at the end. HASHER, never far off the pace, gained a slight advantage entering the stretch, but was unable to match strides with the winner. BOB MANN, in close quarters most of the trip, failed to rally in the late stages and pulled up sore. TILLERETTE flattened out after a mild challenge in the final furlong. WHERRIE moved with a rush leaving the backstretch, then went evenly when put to pressure. FOXIE TED was knocked back going to the first turn and failed to recover. MISS MELISS, steadied until clear on the first turn, drew into a comfortable lead, was kept along the inside and finished in hand. LITTLE CAPTAIN, eased back to keep from running up on the heels of forward contenders, moved to the outside entering the stretch and closed with good energy. ETERNAL SICKLE broke alertly, stayed with the pace to the final quarter, then weakened. BLUNT closed stoutly from off the pace. CAROLINA MISS showed speed for a quarter, then tired. GRIAN, kept within striking distance of the pace by steady urging, gradually wore down the leader and continued on gamely under strong pressure. FRENCH LURE lost ground while moving on the extreme outside and finished willingly. TILENNY, outrun to the final furlong, closed with a belated rush between horses. IN VOGUE was hustled into early command, stayed close to the pace after giving way, then tired near the end. FIRE RAIDER went evenly. SUPREME MOMENT lacked a closing rally. CORONET STAR showed nothing. POUTING MAC engaged the leader after a quarter, assumed a short lead, then tired. AU PHIL flashed brief speed. PERSIAN KITTEN was eased when soundly beaten. FIRST COMMAND WAS VERY SORE IN THE POST PARADE AND WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED. ALL MONIES WAGERED ON FIRST COMMAND WERE ORDERED REFUNDED. CENSURED, never far off the pace, rallied to finish with good energy. GENTLE KAY Z broke well, was unable to keep up in the early running, then finished with a belated rush. AMEN was hard ridden to maintain late position. SURVEY was used up forcing the pace. JOEVAL assumed command soon after -n the start and raced wide, then tired under late pressure. TOP FOOT, kept within striking distance of the pace, rallied to take command inside the final sixteenth and drew out. KILAYR closed resolutely under stout pressure in the final quarter mile. BIG REWARD forced the pace and gained a slight advantage, entering the stretch, but tired under stout pressure in the final quarter mile. BOXIE broke alertly, was sent along at a fast clip and held advantage to the final quarter, then tired. SUNHELIO went evenly in the early stages and lacked a late rally. M. The latter Worked her way up gradually on the outside, came to the inside on the final turn, split the leaders, but was Tunable to stave off the winners bid. UNKNOWN REWARD was never far off the pace, but lacked a closing rally. TWO DEUCE set the pace for a mile, then tired. FLAMING DANCE raced forwardly to the far turn, then weakened. SAGITTAIRE was bothered slightly going to the first turn, was taken wide and never fully recovered. The others were outrun. Scratched— 75249 Lennie Boy, 111. NEAR MISS, kept under restraint along the inside, secured racing room on the final turn, gained a clear lead, but was not good enough. TOM FERRIS closed stoutly in the late stages. HIBERNIAN was taken back off the pace and steadied for six furlongs, moved into contention with a rush, then flattened out. FANTOM VENTURE set the pace to the final quarter, came out from the rail slightly, then tired. UNCLE DOC lacked early speed. FAIRANFIT flattened out in the final quarter.
