LYDIA M. showed an even effort while just off the first flight. VARDELL loomed a threat after three furlongs and tired. THE MAID caught tiring horses. FLOCO raced on the inside throughout her rally, attained command in the early stretch, drew clear soon thereafter and was all out to last over THIN DIME. The latter was not hurried while pressing the pace, responded when roused late and was wearing down the top one. CAVALIER TRIM established the pace to the stretch and weakened after allowing FLOCO to move through. SATIN BLUE showed speed, but was not good enough when punished. PAMLICO lacked a menacing rally. DING flattened out after racing prominently for a half mile. SHOWY lacked speed. BRIEF WHIRL tired. BUNCHIE was sore. EDDIEOW was allowed to settle into best stride, circled the field while rallying and could be driven only intermittently while showing a tendency to lug in. GALLANT" BULL vied for the lead from the start and held on tenaciously. WITHASTAR moved boldly from the outside to reach the leader at the furlong pole, then weakened only slightly. FLOOD TOWN raced with the pace to midstretch and tired. MINT OMORN was taken up soon after the start. COCK FEATHER flatttened out badly. WARSHIP was unable to seriously threaten. FINAL TOUCH, slow to settle into stride, moved well leaving the backstretch, then was deprived of all chance when knocked out of contention near the three-eighths pole.
