; Illinois Notes WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., June 7. J. Stein acquired Knights Hill from Mrs. F. P. Letellier in a private transaction and then turned the four-year-old gelded son of Hash to C. Scott to condition. Trainer Howard Hoffman revealed that No Strings, owned by Mrs. John Marsch, is a nominee to the Tulip Handicap, a 5,000 added event for fillies and mares to be run on June 25 at the Detroit Fair Grounds. W. R. Dahlstrom, a steward at this meeting, plans to make a hurried trip to Atlantic City, N. J.f over the week-end and return on Monday here. Dahlstrom is racing secretary and handicapper for the Atlantic City Racing Association, which organizations opens its meeting on August 11 at the resort city. Jockey Darl Norman left for his home in Tampa, Fla., and plans a vacation from the saddle. He intends to be on hand for the Arlington Park session, which gets under way June 20. Alfred Ghilarott purchased Bert Ram at private terms today from the combined interests of Aarons and Kokin. Ralph Sal-vino is the new trainer. David Olson, prominent construction engineer from Somerset, Ky„ was the guest of Albert Sabath in the clubhouse here this afternoon. Olson departed for his home after seeing Mrs, Albert Sabaths Alsabs Day compete on the program.
