_ Michigan Notes FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., June 9. Jack Kreis, well known masseur, again is on duty in the Fair Grounds jockey scale room. Trainer Earl Granger arrived and registered Tomato, Busy Hop and Holt, which trio is to race under Mrs. Grangers colors. At a meeting of the Michigan division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Assn., trainer Charles Sanborn was appointed secretary and treasurer of the local section. Dr. J. R.Upton, veterinarian, performed an operation Thursday on the seven-year-old mare, Da Do, the property of La-moureux and Peat. Dr. Upton recently arrived from California and he will remain here for 10 days. Bill Berry is handling the engagement books of apprentice Norman Cartwright and jockey James Boucher. John G. McAtee returned from Serenata Farm, Lexington, Ky„ after transacting business at the thoroughbred nursery. McAtee has a useful stable quartered at the Fair Grounds this season.
