Bill Asks Electorate Approval COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 9. — The state Senate here Tuesday passed a bill, already approved by the House, which requires applicants for horse race meetings at new tracks, where pari-mutuel betting is permitted, to obtain consent of at least 51 per cent of the electors in the township in which the track is to be located. Petitions, with signatures of the electors, must be submitted to the Ohio State Racing Commission. The Senate added an amendment to the bill, which would exempt horse race meetings at county fairs.
