M. Wolf; bred by Raymond B. Archer. WENT TO POST— 5:31. OFF AT 5:31 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. SOMA LAD worked way forward steadily, responded readily when hard ridden through the stretch and was up in the last stride. FEDERAL AGENT, a keen factor from the start, was bothered when WOOLLARDS PET dropped back during the drive, but came again when clear and reached the lead between calls, then was unable to hold the winner and just missed. CACTUS FOOT, reserved until reaching the stretch, was taken up to secure racing room when blocked during the drive and finished strongly, but could not overtake the. leaders, although probably best. WOOLLARDS PET went to the front early, made the pace until reaching the final furlong, then weakened. SUES SPECIAL could not keep up. LAYOUT was far back throughout. WOW was outrun. TOP VALLEY did not like the turf course. Scratched— 76010J2 Sweet Reward, 109; 763202 Old Bet, 104. Soma Lad claimed by L. Rodriguez. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. CARPET SWEEP, in hand while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, assumed command when ready and drew clear to win with • something left. TOP SECRET, outrun early, made a bold bid approaching the stretch, but could not reach the winner when set down in the drive. RIEL FIRE, far back and outrun to the final quarter, passed tiring horses thereafter. BONESS failed to rally when set down for the stretch run. LADY NINA tired badly after making the pace to the stretch. TABOURET was outrun. SONS TWINKLE gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. COME TIGER was done early. FILEETA could not keep up. MIAMI ROSE was unable to keep up. Overweight— Boness, 3 pounds. Attendance, 8,947; Total Mutuel Pool, 35,077
