BOYISH LOVE assumed command soon after the start, increased margin easily, saved ground and was roused when shortening stride in the final sixteenth. NIGHT BOMBER, outrun to the final quarter, closed -with a belated rush. DEVOTEDLY forced the pace under light urging, then tired when set down. SEA BEES lacked early speed. UNDERTOW, a forward factor, lacked a closing rally. ETERNAL MISS lacked early speed, moved between horses on the final turn, but was not close enough to threaten the leaders. MOUNTAIN TIME dropped out of contention at the start and was never a serious factor. KEENER tired after a half mile. GAY FRANKA broke slowly, was unable to secure racing room until the leaders went wide at the final turn, came through with a rush and gained the lead without urging, then drew clear. WISE BRUNETTE shuffled back early, came between horses when set down and finished with good energy. SUNSHADE improved position gradually on the extreme outside. CLAIRE DAUBER showed good speed from the inside, set the pace to the final turn, then tired. MISS RHODA was unable to keep up. FRAPIA tired after forcing the pace. PILGRIM MAID had speed for a half; RUN LADY showed nothing. FLASH FLOOD was unable to gain a forward position under urging. MYSTRY MARK was through early. DOTTIE C. was outrun. HELL BENT troke alertly, was hustled to gain a short advantage before a quarter mile, saved ground along the inside and increased his lead without pressure. CIVIC DUTY, in close quarters soon after the start, dropped back until clear, then closed well along the inside. RODEO, quickest to begin, stayed with the pace for a half mile after giving way, then tired. HERES FAY went evenly while racing slightly wide throughout. JACOMO lacked early speed. CINDER FOOT, quickest to begin, was placed under steadying restraint to the far turn, assumed command when roused, dfew clear and had to o be hard ridden to hold JOHNS DATE safe. The latter was reserved off the pace along the inside until straightened for the drive, then rallied and was catching the winner. D.UST SCREEN, hot hustled while trailing early, saved ground when set down and finished willingly. SLOWER set the pace under urging, turned back repeated bids for the lead until nearing the final turn, then shortened stride. GLADYS H. was unable to reach serious contention. The latter was never far back of • the pace and rallied mildly in the final quarter, but was not good enough. GLYNBRO passed tiring horses. MY RUTHIE weakened after forcing the pace to the final quarter mile. PHARSOOK showed nothing. FANCY FESTIVAL was never a prominent factor. CO-PENNANT raced wide most of the trip. Won easily; second and third driving MARINE BAND assumed command at once, was allowed to open a comfortable margin before being placed under light restraint, saved ground entering the stretch, then drew out easily without urging. GAY SPARK forced the pace for a half mile, then held on gamely while drifting out slightly. GRACIE SON, reserved off the Dace, moved gradually when roused, but was not good enough. DIRECTOIRE had no mishap. FIRST SENTRY raced evenly. PLAY TAG passed tiring horses. MISLEADER was unable to reach serious contention. FIRST PEBBLE was never a serious factor. TICK TACK raced LOST AND FOUND into submission, assumed a short lead, then held on well after giving way. HILL SUN saved ground to better late position. HILL FOX finished well under stout pressure. LOST AND FOUND tired after losing command. ABBES FIRST was unable to keep up. CAMBRIDGE FAIR tired after six furlongs. The others were outrun.
