Preakness Winners at Gallaher LEXINGTON, Ky., May 5.— While neither of the two popular stallions standing at Ira Drymons Gallaher Farm on the Russell Cave pike won the Kentucky Derby, each of them won a renewal of the Preak ness. Challedon won the Maryland classic in 1939, while Polynesian was successful in 1945. Challedon finished second to Johnstown in the Derby while Polynesian did not start in the Kentucky fixture. Challedon is the property of a syndicate and Polynesian is owned by Mrs. P. A. B. Widener DT.
