Beulah Park Opens Meet; Ten in Inaugural Purse BEULAH PARK, Grove City. Ohio, May 5. — This historic and beautiful Central Ohio racing plant opens its doors tomorrow for a 20-day session in anticipation of the finest meeting ever conducted. From the enthusiasm displayed by the horsemen in entering their charges for the opening day card, it is evident that racing secretary E. W. Bury will have quality as well as quantity to draw from for his daily eight-race programs through May 30. The Inaugural Purse holds the spotlight on the card for opening day. For three-year-olds and up, under allowance conditions, and at six furlongs, Bury has 10 named, representing some of the better racing interests stabled on the grounds. Those not on the also eligible list include « Mrs. J. Zitnicks Dusty Days, A. Smitas South Dakota, Mrs. James Bronnenbergs Once More, George McFarlands Tuckie, O. Wests Happy Days, Mrs. W. E. Freases Sashay Moon, J. C. Browns Red Flag and J. F. Wallaces Dr. Jay. On the also eligible list are William Booths Pink Chance and Carlisle and Glovers Puddle Jumper. Post time for opening and Saturdays will be 2:15 p. m. E.S.T.. Twilight racing will be featured on week days with the first event scheduled for the 4:00 p. m.
