Start good from stall gate. Won handily; second and third driving. GIL KRIEGEL went to the front soon after the start, readily responded when shaken up for the final run and won in handy fashion. KELORA raced in m closest pursuit of the winner, weakened near the end, but was easily best of the others. BONJOHN saved ground while a forward factor, then weakened. RAG WEED emerged from between horses early and finished well. BROWN BANTAM passed horses under urging near the end. EFFIGY began sluggishly and did not extend himself. CADET DAN wrested command from the outside after three furlongs, opened a commanding lead through the stretch, then tired fast nearing the end. ON THE WING raced prominently placed, responded to urging in the final run and finished fast. VINELAND dropped back after being unable to reach the front from the inside early, then came again with good courage in the final drive. MINT TULIP lost ground racing wide on the turns and could not get up. ROUNDERS PRIDE made up ground late. HUACHINANGO v - r a factor. DOVE SHOOT was outrun. GUIDED MISSILE came outside the leaders rounding the final turn, easily opened a clear lead, but was doing her best at the end. JEANETTE dropped back between horses after a swift beginning, finished determinedly in the middle of the track, but could not menace the winner. EDNAS CHOICE slipped through on the inside rounding into the stretch, then closed determinedly while drifting wide. THE PROCURATOR began sluggishly and was outrun to the stretch, then was forced to come wide with his strong rally. NO PARKING raced evenly. TRUMPET CALL loomed boldly on the inside on the stretch turn, then faltered. STARTOWN quit. STAR Z. tired . BEAU JAY saved ground while prominently placed and finished well. MY LORRAINE, away poorly, made up distance steadily in a good effort. GLORIOUS MAXIM had speed under pressure, reached the front between calls, , then faltered. LAKE TROUT lost ground from the outside and quit. SURF GIRL faltered badly after a show of early speed. The latter, slow to reach best stride, circled horses to easily take command in the early stretch, then weakened and just failed to last. MARY BARR moved into closer contention on the inside, then would have been closer but for being repeatedly in close quarters through the stretch run. CRAVACHE was a keen factor, but tired.
