PUR SANG, never far back, came over slightly on PUNKS on the near turn, took command with a rush entering the stretch and drew clear to win with something left. IN A SPIN came out for the drive, but rallied too lale to seriously endanger the winner. IMPELLER worked his way forward on the outside and closed with good courage. SIR BEE BUM lacked a convincing rally. PUNKS was forced to take up slightly when the winner came over nearing the three-sixteenths marker and failed to recover. DOUBLE BARREL was outrun. REFUN was unable to keep up. HI DANNY began alertly, but failed to stay. SLIPAROUND and THIRD OVAL were never dangerous. JEEP GYPSY quit. Scratehed-Were Broke, 117; 002122 Sweet Pick, 117. DEVILS ELBOW, prominent from the beginning, disposed of EVER LUCKY after a half mile and maintained his advantage under brisk urging.-INVERCORK moved fast in the stretch, tired during the late stages and, though unable to overtake the winner, was easily best of the others. EVER LUCKY failed to respond when called upon for his best effort. SUNAWAY closed with a belated burst of speed, but could not seriously menace the top ones. WHITE CHANCE had no apparent excuse. JEANNE BELLE quit. FOXY PATE lacked speed. WILD HEIRESS was in close quarters throughout most of the trip. MISS PROSPECT, CALLADICO and BILL G. were never dangerous. NEWLOOK was through early. BUSY MATTIE moved up gamely to enter serious contention entering the stretch, then weakened and could not hold the winner. HIGH COTTON closed with a belated rush, but was not good enough. GAY SENORITA tired under hard urging. OMABERRY passed tiring horses. LILL L. flashed good early speed, then quit. DATE BOOK and OCEAN HI were always outrun. BELL COLLECTOR was never a threat. GREY SCOUT closed resolutely between horses and appears ready for a good route effort. PLAY EDA finished with good courage on the outside. MERRY ZAC was hustled to the front entering the stretch, then tired under stem pressure. VINITA TONEY was unable to improve his position when hard ridden through the late stages. COURAGE rallied too late to become a formidable threat. OPINIONATED steadily improved his position to the stretch after having been outrun early, then failed to respond to brisk urging. PINE LAKE, slow to reach her best stride while saving ground along the inside rail, went" to the front with a rush inside the stretch and increased her margin under a steady hand ride. LICTOR raced DON OSULLIVAN into defeat to establish a clear lead nearing the furlong marker, faltered during the late stages and was unable to withstand the winner. DON OSULLIVAN held on tenaciously to the stretch, then tired under punishment. JOES LADDIE failed to respond when roused for the final test. The latter raced in nearest pursuit of the winner, responded gamely when set down for the drive, but could not reach the top one under brisk urging. DIAMOND LANE war forced to take the overland route when making her stretch bid and could not seriously threaten the leaders. FAMOUS SHAKE remained within striking distance of the early leaders, but lacked a rally. PRINCESS DARE began sluggishly, was rushed into contention on the far turn, then retired as -a result of her efforts. ROMAN ZEPHYR was never dangerous. SEA COMMAND was unable to improve his position while saving ground during the late stages. BUSY SIS was never prominent. TRIER had no mishap. BREAKAGE failed to stay. LIMERICK BOY showed nothing. SCOTCH BIM, sharp factor from the start, made a mild bid entering the stretch, then faltered. FLOATING failed to rally when set down in the drive. FLATBUSH tired after showing early speed.
