Joe Cotton Raced Extensively CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 5. — Joe Cotton, winner of the 11th running of the Derby, was the first of the Derby winners to race as many as six seasons. He started 54 times including two races at seven. Only Aristldes, winner of the first Derby, had raced as many as five seasons, and only Appolo, had started more times, running in 55 races in, his three sear sons of campaigning.
