Dina Dina Bam Bam Sprints Sprints to to Length Length Score; Score; Good Good Question Question Successful Successful in in Chicle Chicle Finds Sloppy Track Much to His Liking Forrest Colt Passes Under Wire Two Lengths Ahead of Fleeterthan in Downs Test By DON FAIR Staff Correspondent CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 10. — Good Question, a member of the Kentucky-owned Henry Forrest Stable, splashed through the slop to an impressive victory here today in the featured Chicle Purse. Benefitted by a well-judged ride from young Johnny Turner, the Forrest colt saved ground for the entire six furlongs, reaching the wire with a two-length advantage over his nearest rival, Brown Hotel Stables good filly, Fleeterthan. Just a half length away in third place was Mrs. Frederick Sharpes favored and top-weighted Kings Hope, while R. Wilkinsons Rubys Jon finished fourth in the sprint. Mrs. Emil Denemarks Lasting War and Bernard J. Bax Cardinal Lady rounded out the field of six sophomores for the Chicle and hit the final marker in that order. Good Question, a well made son of Questionnaire and My Bonnie, carried 110 pounds with the apprentice allowance, which burden was 11 pounds lighter than that of Kings Hope. Moving along steadily over the three-quarters of the Chicle, the victor turned in a clever 1:11% and he was second choice in the totalisator at slightly better than 3 to 1. The Chicle marked Good Questions third success in nine starts this year. Lasting War Gives Way Lasting War was first to show in front after the break and she hustled into a length and one-half advantage before going a quarter mile. Good Question and Fleeterthan went right along with the Denemark miss while Kings Hope also occupied a good position within striking distance of the flying pacemaker. Approaching the stretch turn, Lasting War gave up the chase and Kings Hope assmued command momentarily as Fleeterthan held to the outside and Good Question began what was to be a victorious bid from third and on the inside. Good Question then slipped through next the inner rail as the two leaders drifted out and continued gamely to hold a clear lead to the end.
