PLUCKY WILLIE broke alertly was kept close to the pace, raced true on the turns and outfinished DYNASTIC. The latter closed willingly from off the pace and was catching the winner. INTERFERE was well placed early, raced slightly wide entering the stretch. FAZZULA improved position gradually in a good effort. BAY BLAZE weakened after getting to the front. WINAPOT had no mishap. ON THE WIRE was never prominent. PINK GIN broke alertly, raced wide and was never a serious threat. YES0 stopped. The others showed nothing. Scratched— 27897 Day dreamer, 111; 26792 Espedeco, 111. RED WHEAT, in hand while close to the early pace, came through on the inside, rallied under pressure in the final furlong and outfinished LYNN Z The latter broke alertly, was taken back off the pace and remained in hand to the final furlong then closed strongly and just missed. APRIL DUKE raced MIDNIGHT ROSE into submission, but was unableto shake off late challenges. VELVET BOUND rushed boldly to engaas the leader into the stretch, then faltered MIDNIGHT ROSE tired. DONNA S. saved ground to no avail. GLORY LAR went evenly. JAMAICA GIRL flashed brief early speed. The others "ere outrun. BEACH BEAUTY reserved off the pace for five furlongs, circled the leaders when put to pressure, gained command and drew out easily. IRMAS JIM forced the pace and continued on gamely through the late stages. BOLD STAR, sluggish to the final furlong, brushed HARD HITTER entering the stretch, recovered quickly and finished with good energy. PERFECT MELODY, unable to keep up down the backstretch. rallied mildly, but was unable to menace. BUNTYS IMP raced to the front after a half mile, then stopped. ST. LOUISAN showed nothing. DAUNTEDID sprinted into a commanding lead at once, was under steadying restraint to the far turn, increased margin entering the stretch, then shortened stride. PEACE MISSION, a forward factor, lacked a closing rally. COUNT-A-BIT was unable to make up ground when put to pressure. TILENNY was outrun. DEESIDE quit after forcing the pace. The latter remained in close attendance of the pace, was bothered slightly as the leader drifted out entering the stretch, then finished willingly. MARGARET B. opened a clear lead at once, increased the margin down the backstretch, drifted out in the late stages and was tiring. MARTONNA, close up along the inside, lacked a closing rally.
