FRENCH NAVY saved ground while improving position to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, responding to punishment, disposed of the leaders and held MADAM JEEP safe. The latter, away alertly and forwardly placed from the outset, u?J ,Q t0 the inside for the drive and reacned tne lead between calls but could not withstand the top one. HIGH TEST, forced wide at the stretch turn, finished well when straightened for the drive. SUN BOUND far back to the stretch, closed fast. DRAKE WIDGEON, never far back, reached the lead entering the stretch but faltered during the drive. FAIR ARAB tired after racing well to the last eighth. SQUIDGE had a rough trip NO MORE HASH was carried out entering the stretch. ARABS PAL was never dangerous.
