Riggs to Promote Eight-Day National Pro Tennis Tourney NEW YORK, N. Y., May 15 UP.— Bobby Riggs announced today that he will promote an eight-day round-robin national professional tennis championship involving 24 of the games leading players at Forest Hills, N. Y.. June 21 to July 1. Pancho Segura, national professional champion, will defend his title in the tournament. Among the leading pros who also will compete are Jack Kramer, Frank Parker, Pancho Gonzales, Frank Kovacs, Welby Van Horn, Carl Earn and Riggs himself. All will be seeded and draw first-round byes. Riggs has guaranteed a purse of 0,000 for the tournament. The singles champion will receive ,300 and the runner-up ,500. The doubles champions will divide a ,200 prize. The 16 other entries will meet in the first round with the survivors meeting the seeded players in the second round.
