Omaha Will Be Exhibited At Ak-Sar-Ben on June 30 AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 20. — The famous race horse Omaha, one of the eight immortals of the American turf, I will make his first appearance on a middle-western race track on Saturday, June , 30, when he will be exhibited at the Ak-Sar-Ben track just prior to the running of the ,000 J. E. Davidson Memorial Handicap. Through the courtesy of his owner, William Woodward of New York, Omaha is standing at the Grove Porter farm in Nebraska City, contributing his outstanding bloodlines to thoroughbred mares of this region. As the winner of the "Triple Crown" — Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and ! Belmont Stakes — Omaha, in 1935, achieved an honor which has been equaled by only seven other horses in Americas history. Later he raced in England and won a number of important stakes events there. The big chestnut stallion will be shown at halter by Morton Porter, who is in personal charge of the animal at his fathers farm. Three years hence, it is expected that Omahas colts will be racing over the Ak-Sar-Ben strip and other mid-western ovals, trying to emulate the fame won by their famous sire.
