Turf Writers Trim Jockeys SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass. June 20. — The New England turf writers Softball team administered a crushing defeat to the jockeys softball aggregation in the third game played between the two teams last night. The first game was won by the riders, but once the has-beens of the turf writers had a game under their belts, their batting eyes were sharpened up and the next two games beldhged to the old-timers. Last nights game ended in a 13-7 rout with Eddie Hopkins starring at bat and behind the plate. Included in the turf writers line-up was Dave Wilson, Gerry Sullivan, Frank Capone, Bob Waldo, Eli Chiat and Chester Bateman. Charlie Mul-lins pitched for the jockeys.
