Heavy Loser in Buffalo Fire BUFFALO RACEWAY, Hamburg, N. Y., — Richard Nesbitt of Rochester suffered the severest loss of 18 fine thoroughbreds in the bad fire at this plant recently. Nesbitt lost a fine pacer. Charming Grattan, and a trotter, Archie Vologda, both belong- ing to Don Welch of Lock Haven, Pa. Mert Watkins Shady Grove Stable of Wellsville, N. Y., was nearly wiped out, except for Peglou, injured severely, and the N. H. Moore stable of Franklin, Pa., was a total loss.
