Won easily; second and third driving. MASTER SHOWMAN found a large opening next to the rail and swept past the leaders into command on the final turn, then increased his advantage while winning with something left. ETERNAL GREAT was carried wide on the turn by CORINTH, bested that one, but was no match for the winner. CORINTH was strongly restrained while showing the most speed, but was bearing out badly on the turn and weakened. TESTATOR could not stay with the first flight after a good start. FULL MEASURE was behind horses and forced wide on the turn. KELORA was not a theat. LOTOFTOWN quit. Scratched— 56116 Quirinus, 110; 550473 Isosceles, 110; 51330 Actual, 108; 55107 Make Sway, 111. GOLDEN METEOR was a contender from the beginning, wrested command on the outside under punishment in the drve and continued gamely to the end. ANN DEL was steadied in the early running, came to the inside for the stretch drive and, after finding an opening in the last furlong, closed willingly. HADABELLE went to the front while saving ground on the turn, but weakened. MY HONEYBEE lacked her usual speed away from the gate, was brought to the inside and loomed boldly on the stretch turn, but faltered. CORSICAN LASS came from far back. SIGH QUEEN was sore. RUNNING STITCH raced on the extreme outside. LITTLE SNOW quit. HASHALONIA was rushed forwardly from a slow beginning,4ost ground on the outside and tired. CARLTON MISS was steadied within easy" striking distance, drew abreast of FAST JEEP in the early stretch and, under steady handling, maintained a short advantage through the last furlong. FAST JEEP was sent after HIGH HATTER and dislodged that one midway of the turn, swerved out and lightly bumped CARLTON MISS when punished coming to the last eighth and then held on well to the end. YOUNG ROMANCE was gradually urged in to closer contention while racing on the outside, but was no match for the top pair. HIGH HATTER began fast, but faltered when headed. ROSEMERE ZOE was outrun. BAKER BRUSH was forced back sharply at the far turn. SCREEN STAR was not a factor and lugged in in the drive. K. raced prominently placed and finished well under punishment to best DASH-O-LIGHT. The latter dropped back slightly after the start, , made a bold bid on the outside on the final turn, but could not ■ hold his position. THE TRAVELLER raced extremely wide on the turn and into the stretch, then closed well near the end. ROCKING CHAIR was forced back on the final turn. EXODUS quit early. BLUE LANTERN lacked speed to contend seriously early, but finished , . well. BAKERS WOOD was taken in hand and allowed to settle in stride, saved ground making his way forward after the initial quarter mile, came around 1 the leaders on the stretch turn and drew out easily. PADDYS HAT was between FRATERNAL and U ASKED FORIT while keenly contesting the pace, reached a short lead on the final turn, but could not-resist the winner. FRATERNAL was. on the inside and under steady pressure and weakened. TRUMPET KING rallied mildly and finished on even terms with EXCISE TAX. JOEY BOY was nicely rated while racing lapped on CHALLARIAN from the outside, -opened a clear lead when roused entering the stretch and remained under brisk hand urging to hold the opposition safe. ARTHUR PILATE was steadied while close behind JOEY BOY, made his rally after entering the stretch and was gradually gaining at the end. CHAT NOIR II. was under light pressure to improve position, was on the outside in the drive and finished gamely. DRIFTING MAID, in hand while behind horses on the first turn,, appeared mildly dangerous when set down for the drive, but hung. CHALLARIAN closely hugged the rail While setting the pace, held on briefly when challenged, but faltered in the real test. KING CLOVER, forced to be in hand while behind the leaders early, dropped back on the final turn, then held on under punishment. COMMANDANT was Jtaken back at the start; made a brief run, but went in climbing fashion and tired. LORI DALE showed nothing. PALATIAL APPETITE dropped out of it early.
