Eye Catcher May Prove Beulah Park Repeater Mr. Fiske Fit Rival for Speedy Mare in Chas. N. Hayes Purse By H. J. McGUIRE Staff Correspondent BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 16. — The Saturday program of nine races arranged by racing secretary Eugene Bury for this course compares favorably with that offered last week-end. The headliner is a six-furlong dash under allowance conditions, titled the Chas. N. Hayes Purse, and will be run as the eighth race. A nice band of three-year-olds are matched in the Washington Court House Purse that is the sixth event, and this also is under allowance conditions. Well filled and evenly matched fields are found in the supporting races. In the Hayes, Eye Catcher, who races for the partnership of Abbondante and Wapnick, will be trying to repeat her score recorded in the featured Grove City Purse last Saturday. In that test she was a front-running victor in sloppy going and indications are now that she will race over the same kind of footing. F. H. Swaims Dr. Fiske was not far off the winning Good Record in his latest outing, in which he was fourth at the end. He may show enough improvement over that effort to make his presence felt here. E. C. Buntings Bay Bam is the only rival in the Hayes field that met Eye Catcher in the Grove City a week ago. He was not a prominent contender in that test and will have to show improvement to earn a portion of this purse. The others in the headliner are making their first local appearance and are Eagle Lady, Golden City, All Legs and Leas Son.
