Foreign Athletes to Compete In Pacific Coast Field Meet EUGENE, Ore., May 16 UP. — Nine athletes from foreign countries will be competing when the Pacific Coast conference stages its 22nd annual track and field championships here on May 23 and 24. Oregon wilL have Jack Hutchins, veteran middle-distance man; Fred Turner, miler and two-miler; and Doug Clement, freshman quarter-miler, all from Canada. Washington State will have Leo Roine-nen in the javelin, Phil Matson in the mile ana Pete Mullins in the hurdles. Roinenen and Matson are Canadians; Mullins is from Australia. Washingtons representatives include George Widenfelt, Swedish decathlon champion, and Bill Hutchinson, rookie sprinter from Canada. Stanford has Ian Reed, a discus thrower who already has ; qualified for the Australian Olympic team. ..
