Synthetic Blanket Used PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 16.— The official state flower of the State Of Maryland, Black-Eyed Susans, are traditionally used in the blanket which drapes the neck of the Preakness winner in the charmed circle. Inasmuch as the Susans are not in bloom yet, the blanket is a synthetic one, in reality daisies with a dab of shoe polish. But they nevertheless look okay.
