Handsome Teddys Distinction PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 16. — Handsome Teddy, Gustave Smiths Preak-ness representative, will have one distinction at least. He is the only colt in Marylands biggest race who will have been plated by the son of his trainer. Karl Hor-vath, former jockey is the conditioner of Handsome Teddy and his son, Karl, Jr., is a blacksmith by trade and has been handling all of his fathers work. Another peculiar angle of Handsome Teddys presence in the race is the fact that hell be opposing Dixiana Stables Sub Fleet, among others and that when he was Tiding, Hor-vath rode many races for Dixiana.
