BONUS BOY, a distant trailer early when slow to settle into stride, moved boldly along the inside from midway of the final turn and wore down ON THE WJRE. The latter attained command inside the furlong pole, but was unable to resist the winner. LEAD ALL disposed of EVENESTA to attain a clear lead, remained in front until midstretch and gave way. NIPPING failed to seriously threaten, as did TOP LUCK. EVENESTA was used up in an effort to outrun LEAD ALL for the lead. THRONE was through early. DANDOLO, in front for about three-sixteenths of a mile, was no match for the winner, ;but held the others safe. DARK DESTROYER out-finished MID STREAM. The latter could not keep pace. CORRESPONDENT raced-evenly. PRINCE DARE broke tardily and showed nothing. BICARB was forced to take up sharply near the three-eighths pole. BRILYN G. was through early. KNIGHTS REWARD moved boldly to engage the leaders from the outside, dropped back slightly when straightened for the drive, then closed well. BLUE DANUBE weakened after five furlongs.
