List of Officials to Serve At Delaware Meet Approved STANTON, Del., May 17— The Delaware Racing Commission has approved the list of officials to serve during the forthcoming 33-day Delaware Park meeting, opening May 29 and continuing through July 5. The same trio of stewards who have so capably served at Delaware during past years will again officiate. They are Joseph F. Flanagan, representing the racing .commission; Calvin Rainey, representing the Delaware Steeplechase and Racing Association, and George Brown, Jr., named to represent the New York Jockey Club. Flanagan, the breeder of Elkridge, all-time money-winning champion jumper, will be serving his ninth straight year here. Rainey, who has been an official at New York and Florida tracks, was first appointed a steward here in 1950, and since that time has served in similar capacities at Hialeah Park and Garden State Park. Brown is a charter member of the tracks official family, having served since the inaugural meeting in 1937. J. Gilbert Haus will continue as racing secretary and handicapper, while other officials are: Placing Judges — Allan W. Lavin, August E. Abadie and Henry Erickson. Starter — George R. Palmer. Patrol Judges— Carroll E. Burns, John C. Daly, Edward T. McLean and William A. OConnor. Clerk of Scales— Edward Dennison. Paddock Judge — William Jennings; assistant, Thomas A. H. Smith. Timing Judge — Charles Triplett. Veterinarian — Dr. David W. Crisman.
