DJYMY, outrun to the stretch and racing wide, responded to punishment during the drive and wore down the leaders during the last seventy yards. SHERIFF HILL steadily worked way forward, reached the lead between calls during the drive but could not hold the winner, although easily best of the others. CORKTOWN, far back for a half mile, saved ground during the stretch run but could not get to the top ones. ROCKTON lacked early foot but closed fast under brisk urging. INDELIBLY went to the front early, made the pace to the last eighth, then weakened. ASTRODOME was forwardly placed from the outset but tired during the final furlong. STAR PIGEON began sluggishly and was never dangerous. BLUE FALCON had early foot but failed to stay. FLAG DRILL tired. MARSE ROBERT gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. WINGY dropped back after beginning alertly, made up ground after the opening quarter mile and vas up to dispose of the leaders in the last sixteenth. KIBBY F saved ground throughout and held on determinedly when set down for the drive, but was unable to withstand the top one. BURGOO PLAY legan fast, engaged SUN IDOL BOY to the stretch, then failed to stay after establishing a clear lead during the drive. B MINOR lacked early foot. LEASE HOUND began slowly and was never dangerous. SUN IDOL BOY went, to the front early, made the pace for a half mile under pressure from BURGOO PLAY, then had nothing left for the drive. BOXIE vas never prominent. BUSAGI was through-early. FLYING TURKEY lacked early speed, "but saved ground while improving position to the stretch, remained next to the inner rail during the drive and was up to dispose of STROLLING MOON in the last strides. The latter raced on the inside from the start, reached the lead in the stretch after disposing of MISS CROMA, but could not withstand the winner. CASS, between horses during the drive, finished willingly under urging. MISS CROMA went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then gave way when challenged by STROLLING MOON. FENTY 0. was outrun. GATES MILLS could not keep up. JUBILEE GEM began slowly. VANSLAM had early speed, but raced wide during the last three furlongs. JEAN THE JOKER, rank during the post parade and at the post, began alertly, but steadily lost ground after the start. ALGIE gave a dull effort. KIBBITZ showed nothing. TASK, forwardly placed from the start, raced by BIMOVER after five-eighths mile, established a clear lead in the stretch and won in hand. AIM, reserved to the stretch, finished strongly but could not reach the winner. DEALER lacked early foot but finished well under urging. BROWN BRUTUS, outrun to the stretch, was unable to threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. REIGH CANTER made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then faltered. BIMOVER went to the front early, made the pace until challenged by TASK, then gave way. SLAMMURING quit. WHITE BLAZE failed to stay after showin gearly speed. Overweight Reigh Canter, 4 pounds. NINE BELLS was hustled to the front early, was placed in close quarter for the stretch njh by WINSTAY, out-gamed the latter but was unable to withstand the -winner. WINSTAY, sharp factor from the beginning, was permitted to drift over on NINE BELLS during the drive and could not overtake the latter.. PAMARIS finished well under urging. ODDS ADVANCE tired after racing well to the stretch. IN MY BONES was never a serious contender. "CEDRIC was outrun. THE GLOBE was far back for the entire trip.
