Eleven Oppose Abstract In Tomaselfo at Suffolk Cobble Stable Runner Engages Larry Ellis and Whirling Bat By AVERY BROWN Staff Correspondent SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 29. The fifteenth running of the ,500 Tomasello Memorial Handicap, which is featured at Suffolk Downs tomorrow, should prove as interesting as previous editions. Although "name" handicap stars from the East are not among the line-up for tomorrows nine-furlong test, a dozen of the best from the local horse colony have been named. Cobbles Stables Abstract has been assigned the top impost of 118 pounds and the son of Isolater will in all probability be one of the choices with tomorrows large crowd. Slated to vie with Abstract are Larry Ellis, 114; Tio Ciro, 113; Whirling Bat, 111; Dateline, 110; Tilenny, 110; Sam H., 107; Little Step, 106; Regal, 105, Simms, 105; Outland, 104, and War Toney, coupled with with Tilenny,.101. The Tomasello is the second middle distance stake to be offered at the current meeting, the first being the Faneuil Hall, three weeks ago. In that mile and a sixteenth test, Dateline bested seven rivals, all of whom are seeking revenge in tomorrows race. Carrying the silks of W. L. Huntley, Pateline survived a stretch duel with T. W. Smiths Simms in the Faneuil Hall, necks separating the pair, who were two lengths before Abstract. In that race, Abstract also carried 118 pounds but his chief rivals were under 107 and 105, respectively. Dateline must add three more in tomorrows race while Simms picks up two pounds. The others who failed in the Faneuil Hall and are seeking revenge tomorrow are Whirling Bat, Regal, Tilenny, Sam H. and Tio Ciro. They finished in the order named here. Tilenny and Tio Ciro get a two-pound weight shift in their favor while the others are recipients of three pounds. Mrs. J. M. Lingles Larry Ellis, who was defeated by Abstract in an overnight allowance race a Week ago, shapes as the one to beat in the Tomasello, providing the son of Easy Mon has the services of Darrell Madden. Last year Larry Ellis was unbeatable when he had the services of Charley Burr and to date the one which seems best suited to handle the long-striding gelding is Madden. When the entries were released today, no rider was named on the Lingle star. The local management has completed plans to handle one of the largest crowds in the history of the track,
