The latter assumed command at once, saved ground throughout and just missed. HATTER WAR, in closest attendance of the leader for a half mile, lacked a rally in the late stages. LOT WON caught tiring horses with a late rush. HOOP JUDE weakened. IN CASH was never prominent. TEDDYS DEVIL was in close quarters on the turn and showed nothing when clear. FRAUD weakened. MASTER BRIAN raced CLEAR CASH into early defeat, drew out, saved ground, but weakened in the final sixteenth. LORD LOUIS, never far off the pace, rallied mildly when put to pressure, but was unable to menace. DICTIONLESS, moving through along the inside near the three-furlong pole, was forced to take up, then closed willingly in the late stages. CHINAWARE went evenly after a brief flash of speed. IKE MORALES worked his way up along the inside, swung to the outside in the stretch and was along to outfinish JOHN Jr JR. The latter, steadied close to the pace on the outside, moved to the inside as the leader drifted out, closed with good energy, but was not good enough. GATICA-LINDA showed good speed in getting command after a quarter mile, drew clear, but was unable to stave off challenges. ROSES ACE closed stoutly in the late stages. OXLIN was unable to keep up. IFIDO had no mishap. HERMAN L., shuffled back at the start, was never prominent thereafter. The others were outrun. PSYCHOGENIC showed good early speeds was under steadying restraint while saving ground and was held together while tiring in the late stages. FLASHY, sluggish in the early stages, rallied mildly, but was unable to menace. CRACKICE went evenly. PACOL was going well at the end. DOWN HEARTED tired. KING AUMAR quit. FAZZULA was outrun. DYNASTIC was sent to the front at once, saved ground and was held in on the turns, proving a stubborn foe when challenged. SHADOWS IMP, never far off the pace, rallied mildly to move closer on the outside but was unable to menace. IM SANDY, reserved off the pace to the final quarter mile, failed to respond willingly to stout urging. NOLA HASH was unable to keep up. HANDIWORK showed nothing. The others were outrun.
