Seek Solas as Substitute For Martinez Against Dykes PHOENIX, Ariz., May 4 UP .—Charlie Salas, Phoenix fighter currently stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif., as an Army private, was sought today as a possible substitute for the injured Jimmy Martinez in a bout at Coolidge with Texan Bobby Dykes, May 29. Martinez, promising Glendale, Ariz., boxer, suffered a broken right arm when his car plowed into a palm tree here Saturday night. Manager Marsh Sanson estimated the injury may "set Jimmy back a year" in his boxing campaign. Arrangements for the Martinez-Dykes bout were completed only last week. Martinez recently lost a disputed decision to Dykes in San Antonio.
