Won driving; second and third the same. YASHMAK worked her way forward on the outside to attain a contending position on the final turn, rallied when shaken for the drive and after taking command won drawing away. CABLE BUG made the pace to the stretch under hustling tactics, tired badly during the concluding strides and was unable to withstand the winner. ETHEL STONE showed good speed from the beginning, but failed to respond when set down for the final test. HAM HOCKS rallied too late to become an endangering factor. THEMIS was unable to improve her position when called upon for her best efforts. TRICREST moved up menacingly next the inside rail at the head of the stretch, then weakend. CHANT racd wide. MASHOUDA, under slight restraint during the early running, came out to the middle of the track to gain command inside the sixteenth marker and drew clear when fully extended. RAVIOLI raced F0URLEAFCL0VER into defeat to hold sway when straightened for the drive, tired thereafter, but lasted to prevail over JOHN BARLYCORN. The latter lacked ample racing room when starting his stretch rally, then closed determinedly when clear. TOP ATTRACTION drifted out on the final turn while tiring. FIDDLERS GIRL was outrun. FOURLEAFCLOVER much used early had nothing left. PALLISER was through early. GIDEON, a sharp factor from the c start, forged to the front inside the stretch and in a long drive lasted to outgame CAESAR DID. The latter, IT always within striking distance, responded readily when subjected to urging and was getting to the winner! c RAES REWARD, probably best, was forced to take up slightly on several occasions entering the stretch forged between horses during the late stages and closed fastest of all. GIORGETTI failed to make up appreciable -* ground. EASY WHIRL was compelled to take the complete overland route when making his belated bid * NAVY PAGE, fractious at the post, raced forwardly placed for five furlongs, then flattened FIFE AND DRUM ? was outdistanced early. SWOOP outsprinted his rivals into the first turn to open a commanding lead, was steadied on the final turn and during the early stretch run then again drew clear when ridden out. A claim of foul against the winner by the rider of ANCESTOR for alleged interference going into the first turn was not allowed. ANCESTOR raced in nearest attendance to the leader for six furlongs, came out for the drive, then under brisk urging was not good enough ANCHOR MAN saved ground throughout, moved up menacingly next to the rail at the furlong marker to reach near even terms with the winner, then faltered. COUNT FLAME started his move on the far turn while racing on the outside failed to respond to punishment during the drive and was unable to endanger the top ones FLAUNT had no apoarent mishap.
