■ J | 1 j . ; ] 1 j Journeymen Riders Dominate SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 4. — Apprentice riders have dominated the winning circle in recent years at Suffolk Downs with such young booters as Tony DeSpirito, Ralph Borgemenke, Charlie Burr and others. This year, however, the journeymen riders have dominated. The bug boys cannot seem to compete with DeSpirito, Dick McLaughlin, Vernon Smith, Bobby Permane, Ted Johnson, Leo Valdes and Hubert Trent.
