Racing Board Proposal Not Approved by Robinson LOS ANGELES, CalifM May 4— C. Ray Robinson, spokesman for the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association in its current dispute with Hollywood Park in the matter of purse distribution, sent the following telegram from Louisville Saturday to Jerry OBrien, manager of the West Coast division of Daily Racing Form: "Am advised that it has been reported that I talked with Dwight Murphy and that I had expressed approval of the Murphy purse schedule. Both are false. I have not spoken with Mr. Murphy since leaving California and never expressed approval of his formula. Am satisfied that Mr. Murphy will confirm this." Dwight Murphy, chairman of the California Horse Racing Board, was contacted and stated the contents of the telegram were correct, that Robinson had not expressed approval of his formula, nor had he talked with him since leaving for the Derby.
