CROSS WISE came between horses on the far turn to near the leader, was guided inside in the stretch and gained command inside the final sixteenth. LADY FINN showed speed to draw clear at once, maintained her advantage under intermittent urging to the stretch, continued on gamely under a drive, but was not good enough. QUEENS TASTE moved into contention after a quarter mile and showed nothing thereafter. OLLIES CHANCE improved his position along the inside. PEGASUS II. lost ground on the outside. STOP AND THINK lacked early speed. FOLK MUSIC was never a serious factor. FLYING HOOP was through early. The others were outrun. HASTY TIGER moved boldly around horses to near the leaders on the final turn, then lacked a convincing drive. FIRST SWING moved between horses to reach contention and hung. GREAT MORNING faltered. BOLD POLLY was away alertly to take command before reaching the far turn, raced true under a drive and withstood the late bid of C0NDAMI0N. The latter, never far off the pace, rallied in the final sixteenth and closed with good energy along the inside. BRIEF SYMBOL moved alongside the leader on the inside straightening for the drive but was not good enough. EYES IMAGE, rushed boldly on the final turn, swerved in sharply hindering the rider and was probably best. QUALIFIED showed nothing. TALISMAN INDI0 flashed brief speed. THIRSON was never prominent. LEGATE raced in close attendance of the pace under steadying restraint to final turn, moved clear when roused and held the advantage through the stretch. BERNIE MOOSE, unhurried while allowed to settle into best stride, moved outside for the late stages and closed with good energy. ARGYLE, reserved within striking distance of the pace, failed to make up appreciable ground when roused. HIERAPOLIS was taken up leaving the gate, settled into stride quickly, moved through along inside to loom as threat and bogged down through the final furlong. BIG OAK was unable to keep up. BROOKETTA, a forward factor under steadying restraint for six furlongs, rallied to take command inside the final furlong and moved clear under steady pressure. GO GO GO established a slow pace under light restraint, had something left when challenged and held on stubbornly. BO-CAP, unhurried in the early stages, moved outside when set down, loomed as a threat and hung. LITTLE LUCKY moved closer to the pace after a half mile, swung outside entering the stretch and failed to respond to pressure. CUANDEN flattened out. DOUBLE HEADER II. cut the first turn sharply, was sent up on the outside to gain a forward position, weakened after five furlongs and was not persevered with at the end.
