Count Padiernas Grey Pumba Captures General Franco Cup MADRID, Spain, May 4 Reuters.— Count Valla Padiernas six-year-old Grey Pumba won the 50,000 pesetas General Franco Cup, run. over 11 furlongs, here today. Grey Pumba scored by one and a half lengths over Tarsis, with Turandot two lengths behind. General Franco, accompanied by his wife, presented the cup to the winning owner. Pumba, by the Irish-imported Bre-hon Lawn out of the French-imported Demisolde, paid 43 pesetas to 10 to win.
